The people united will never be defeated… This week we go to Anaheim talking about the events that shook the nation as a community in mourning rose up in defense of a right to a life of dignity. As we witness the passing of the 59th Día de la Rebeldía Nacional, the anniversary of the beginning of the Cuban Revolution, we wanted to follow the dialogue started with Anaheim to other acts of resistance in Latino communities past and present. We’ll talk about the Chicano Brown Berets of the 60s, Arizona efforts against SB1070, the Undocumented and Unafraid movement, and other local activities with the potential to unify the ever growing Latino majority within the US. We’ll discuss the meaning of solidarity as people shed their fears about challenging the status quo to fight for the treatment they so deserve. Tune in!
