Is Interracial Dating Still Considered Unacceptable?

Recently, celebrity Tamera Mowry was on twitter posting racist comments about her and her relationship to her now fiance who happens to be white. The comments called Tamera a coon and a sell out and for many other African Americans that date (or marry) outside of their race these comments are said about them as well. Is it just a small group of individuals who are making these kind of statements or is this something that is rooted deep into Black American culture?
