XBRL Assurance Basics

This 15 minute talk will cover the basics of XBRL assurance engagements. We will touch upon the literature surrounding agreed upon procedures (AUP) as outlined in SOP 09-1, what the SEC's rule says about XBRL audits and recent developments in the literature. We will conclude with a discussion on the importance of CPA firms beginning the process today to get ready for the end of limited liability for XBRL filings with the SEC.
