Join Dr. Stephen Mathis, a.k.a. "The Rock and Roll Shrink," and co-host Casey Shapiro, for a bi-weekly discussion of both mental health and "metal health" topics.

Our show runs bi-weekly for an hour. The first half-hour will be Dr. Mathis opining about various mental health topics, interspersed with anecdotes and trivia about classic rock music. The second half-hour of the show, Dr. Mathis will take phone calls from listeners on any matters of mental health or even classic rock topics they may wish to discuss with him!

Our topic tonight is Gaslighting. This is a specific form of manipulative relationship behavior, named after the 1939 and 1944 films of that name, in which the main protagonist is manipulated into believing that she is insane. Gaslighting is a slang term for some of the manipulative relationship behaviors of Cluster-B personality disorders. Cluster B personality disorders are characterized by dramatic, overly emotional or unpredictable thinking or behavior. They include antisocial personality disorder, borderline personality disorder, histrionic personality disorder and narcissistic personality disorder.

During the call-in segment, callers and chat room participants are welcome to discuss their own gaslighting experiences and opinions, or related mental health issues. Questions are welcome regarding callers' relationships and whether or not they may be involved in a gaslighting situation.
