Michelle Obama says we now know what it feels like to have no hope, I disagree. In my opinion, we as Native Americans have more hope than ever before.

But as president Obama prepare to leave office and let their parting thoughts be known to the world at large, Michelle Obama went on record with Oprah Winfrey about how America now gets to feel what it is to lose hope.

MICHELLE:? Yes, I do, because we feel the difference now.

OPRAH:? Yeah.

MICHELLE:? See, now we're feeling what not having hope feels like.? You know, hope is necessary.? It's a necessary concept.? And Barack didn't just talk about hope because he thought it was just a nice slogan to get votes.

MICHELLE:? I mean, he and I and so many believe that if you -- what else do you have if you don't have hope?

In my opinion, we as Native Americans have more hope than ever before.?If you’ve lost hope, what else do you have? How about hope in yourself? I believe strongly in the ability of Native Americans to prosper, and that is what this broadcast will be all about.
