Business Spotlight:The Product Network with Ashleigh Sottile

Ashleigh Sottile was a former producer at HSN and show host at AANTV.  She has worked with celebrity guests at HSN and some of the leaders in the infomercial industry.

 After applying to the same TV station for a year, her persistence paid off… and she began her career as a part-time teleprompter operator at a local news station. Within six months she was the director of the local news prime time newscast. Upon graduating from Hollins University with a degree in Broadcast Journalism, Ashleigh accepted a job offer in Florida at HSN.  As a producer she learned about the science of selling and how to position products successfully.  She also learned that product innovation and television was her new -found passion.

In 2007, Ashleigh had her first son and decided to focus more on the family and worked freelance at HSN.  In 2009, a show hosting opportunity was offered to her at AANTV. She expanded her experience by going in front of the camera. Shortly after being a host, she received her master’s degree in Entertainment Business from Fullsail University and had her second son.  This is when she realized that more than just a baby had been born, but a new found desire to take her experiences and love for the shopping channel industry and HELP inventors.

With her inventor dad and his product, The Product Network was created.  The website is supported by an inventors TV show allowing them to “test” their products in a national market before they make large investments. The show is launching in February
