Tonight's special guest is Angelique Anderson from Stockton, California, a survivor of childhood sexual abuse and activist who's currently writing a short story series called "Little Lost Girl." The first book, "Separation," has been released and book 2, "Home is where the heart is," is releasing this week. It'll shortly be followed by the final book in the trilogy, "Reunited." Angelique plans to include NAASCA info in her books, explaining, "My short story series is a fiction series based on my life. Which is why I wanted to use the resources you have available!" Angelique's an advocate for those who have been abused, and for former foster children. She grew up in dire and tumultuous conditions, bouncing back and forth between her parents, family members and foster care homes, and was abused in many ways. Angelique lived in numerous states all across the American West. All through her childhood she was alternately neglected, assaulted, beaten, treated like a slave, abandoned and left to her own devices. At 18 she was living hand to mouth when she moved in with her boyfriend. They've been together ever since. "I am very happily married to the most amazing, God-fearing man who has stood by me through the healing process and ups and downs that come with that," Angelique says. "We have four amazing kids, and I know looking back that my husband has been God’s tangible hand of love in my life."
