The Pope, The Priest, The Penises "Pedophiles In The Catholic Churches"

    in Religion

Pope says about two percent of priests are pedophiles:

"Many of my collaborators who fight with me (against paedophilia) reassure me with reliable statistics that say that the level of paedophilia in the Church is at about two percent,"Francis was quoted as saying.

"This data should hearten me but I have to tell you that it does not hearten me at all. In fact, I think that it is very grave," he was quoted as saying.

The pope was quoted as saying that, while most paedophilia took place in family situations, "even we have this leprosy in our house".

    Pedophiles: Manipulation of the innocent

    in Lifestyle

Join Ms. Mary & Dr. Janet to discuss how we can better train our children to recognize strange behavior in others. "Pedophiles can be anyone -- old or young, rich or poor, educated or uneducated, non-professional or professional, and of any race. However, pedophiles often demonstrate similar characteristics, but these are merely indicators and it should not be assumed that individuals with these characteristics are pedophiles. But knowledge of these characteristics coupled with questionable behavior can be used as an alert that someone may be a pedophile." ~about.com

USA Adults: Moral cowards? Pedophiles? Good stewards of Sons & Daughters (I/III)

    in US Government

Moral coward:  One who lacks the courage to do or endure dangerous or unpleasant things in taking action for the good of others

Pedophile:  a person sexually attracted to children.  How pedophilia and striking a developing human being on their buttocks relate:  "...The buttocks are the locus for the induction of pain in a child.  We are familiar with the argument that it is a safe 'locus' for spanking.  However, the anal region is also the major erotic region at precisely the time the child is likely to be beaten there.  Thus it is aptly chosen to achieve the result of deranged sexuality in adulthood..." Slaughter of the Innocents, David Bakan, 1971 (p. 113)

"The ography and prostitution industries do a trhriving business catering to the needs of countless unfortunate individuals whose sexual development has been derailed by childhood spankings.  If we put all other considerations aside, this should be reason enough never tospank a child."  Jordan Riak (www.nospank.net).

Good stewards of sons and daughters:  Adults who take responsible action for the good of minor sons and daughters and mobilize, that is, "prepare," "organize" and "encourage" in unity for the desired results until success.

Tonight's special guest is Dr. Sue Cornbluth from Philadelphia, a nationally recognized expert in parenting, divorce and childhood trauma. Also known as “Dr. Sue,” she's not afraid to express her direct opinions about the most controversial topics, and is often referred to as the "Power House" for child advocacy. President of Parenting Beyond Trauma, Dr. Sue earned her reputation as a leading expert in child abuse and victims' rights during the Jerry Sandusky trial. Her psychological commentary on the Sandy Hook Elementary shooting in Newtown Connecticut was broadcasted nationally. She has appeared on numerous television outlets around the country discussing victims' rights. Tonight's special guest is Yanette (Lola Lola) Novoa, LCSW, from Miami, a child abuse survivor who studied psychology at Florida International University and is now writing a guide related to the issues of child abuse and trauma. Lola is the Founder and Director of Find The Way, LLC, and is publishing a new guide related to learning how to heal from child abuse and trauma. She says, "I know the pain, I know how it feels." Lola's childhood was taken away. She had been assaulted and raped from the age of 4 to the age of 12, ending in an illegal abortion at 12 in the presence of the perpetrator who forever changed her life. The new guide book, "Dare to Let Go and "Thrive": A Self Help Guide for Learning to Thrive After Experiencing Sexual Abuse", will be out next year. It invites the reader to learn the fundamental difference between "Thriving" versus surviving. Surviving is being able to function within a society. "Thriving" leads to living a meaningful life. Former victims of sexual assault can use the steps and strategies in this self help guide to point the way in becoming the thriving individual they are meant to be. Ms Novoa believes the key to all malice is "Prevention." In the long run, it is easier and cheaper to prevent than to treat. She specializes in working and assisting individuals of all ages that have suffered sexual abuse and are in need of finding their way to living a more meaningful life via different therapeutic techniques. Lola says, "I put together this guide mainly to .. give you some techniques to solve your own problems related to the long term effects of sexual abuse that you are carrying with you either consciously or unconsciously .. to be the thriving individual that you were meant to be.
