"Pudding Pops, Pedophiles, and Pimpin'"
"Is Bill Cosby a sexual predator who's being exposed, or a black man with power who's being attacked? how many sexual assault victims go unreported and unheard of in our commuity? How many innocent black men get accused of child molestation and rape? And have we made all of this worse through our cultural justifications of and pandering? We'll discuss it all on Sunday--in The Barbershop!"
There is overwhelming number of pastors being arrested, exposed and imprisoned because of the crime of pedophilia. Almost exclusively male, these men are exploiting our young people while the men in the congregation sit idly by with little or no objection. Why do we keep hiring these monsters to prey over our kids? Who is doing the background checks?
Can they be redeemed? Yes. Can they preach or teach? NO!
We are going to discuss this pervasive problem in the BOC and see "hear" what the Word of God says we should do to eliminate this problem!
On this week's show, which airs Sunday, October 5th, at 7:00 PM, E.S.T., we will discuss what has always been a contreversial topic; The Death Penalty. But with a twist... Should all Pedephiles be sentenced to death? Would that solve the problem and protect our children?
Get ready, because this is a HEATED topic! It raises many philosophical questions about who we want to be as a society and all of you are invited to share your opinions. Be prepared to be educated, enlightened and to possibly have your views changed, one way or the other.
The 'Let's Change the WORLD' Weekly Talk Radio Show is your opportunity, as a regular, everyday, ordinary person, to have your voice heard. Agreement is never required on our show; but courtesy and respect are, so there is never any reason to be shy or silent.

Join Ms. Mary & Dr. Janet to discuss how we can better train our children to recognize strange behavior in others. "Pedophiles can be anyone -- old or young, rich or poor, educated or uneducated, non-professional or professional, and of any race. However, pedophiles often demonstrate similar characteristics, but these are merely indicators and it should not be assumed that individuals with these characteristics are pedophiles. But knowledge of these characteristics coupled with questionable behavior can be used as an alert that someone may be a pedophile." ~about.com

SPECIAL TOPIC Night - "For Our Kids" - Deborah Maddison and Tracy Baxter, Canadian activists from British Columbia, will join Bill Murray to lead this evening's discussion about the Rights of Children and Families in North America. Tonight's TOPIC: "CPS and our Family Courts - A Criminal Consortium?" When does abuse of power cross the line into flat out criminal behavior? With precedent setting court cases challenging this criminal enterprise under such statutes as RICO (criminal racketeering), Misfeasance (wrongful exercise of lawful authority) and Malfeasance (legally unjustified/harmful act by a public official) succeeding, and the exposure of Child Trafficking and Abuse by these same agencies, it is very clear who the real criminals are. More frighteningly, they are still operating flagrantly and for the most part without any penalty at all. Tonight we speak with Melissa Deigel, a mother desperate to save her medically kidnapped children who instead, has been threatened and silenced and stripped of her rights, Advocate Malinda Sherwyn, who has both witnessed and stood up for many such parents facing criminal abuses and Advocate and Author Eugenea Couture, whose compelling experience as a child abused in this system gives her a unique insight as to what really happens when CPS steps in to 'protect' children from loving parents.~~ Every two weeks a new THEME will be presented in this series, with frequent special guests speaking from their own experience. ~~ Please see our web page at: www.NAASCA.org/ForOurKids or write to:email@example.com

Tonight's special guest is Barbara Hughes from Sewanee, TN, a survivor and activist who wrote a book about child sexual abuse called, "Enfolded in Silence/A Story in Art of Healing from Sexual Trauma in Childhood" Born in New York City, Barbara was assaulted between 3 and 9 years old and says she lived a childhood in denial of her sexual abuse which included sexual torture. "I hid my trauma from everyone, including myself," she writes, "but was very fearful, shy, and acted out my abuse on myself. I grew up and had a career as a sculptor, raised two boys, and got into 12 Step recovery. Before that, I got involved with toxic and abusive men." She explains, "In my 40's, I started having body memories, and in therapy, remembered my repeated trauma, over the process of years. I had an art therapist who was willing to re-mother me in the boundaries of therapy. I was very angry at God." Among other things she did extensive EMDR and turned a corner in her healing. "My abuse is no longer a stone in my heart." She continues, "It has a place of honor inside me, but is at peace. I have had many healers and I am thriving and very grateful." Finally, she wrote her book, and did presentations with images about abuse and healing. "I now facilitate a support group for women survivors of child abuse (ASCA). I continue my art work and volunteer at a food bank. My marriage survived my healing process and we have a good, loving relationship now. I have grandchildren. Family is very important to me. I continue to find venues where I can show and tell about the devastation of child sexual abuse and about how you heal."

Tonight's special guest is Judy Cagnemi from Suffolk County, Long Island, a returning NAASCA family member who's a child abuse survivor and blogger at One Woman's Adventure Through Life and Recovery. Today she says describes a beautiful life, and is grateful for her family, home and career. But, she writes, "For most of my life, I didn't see things this way. I was filled with rage and self-hate." Her mother, bruised and battered by Judy's father, turned up on her maternal grandparents doorstep when Judy was an infant. She continues, "My mother made it clear she never wanted me. I suffered neglect and emotional abuse from her." She was physically abused by her grandmother, " .. and much later on I realized I was sexually abused by my grandfather. I was a victim acting out for decades by abusing myself with alcohol, drugs, engaging in physically and emotionally abusive relationships and making incredibly bad choices." As an adult Judy was in therapy for over 20 years for depression and emotional child abuse and neglect before uncovering the sexual aspects of her trauma. She says, "Since the door was opened, memories have been springing forward and it feels as though they are happening now rather than 30+ years ago. It's a strange reward for being in a better mental state." She goes on, "My mind must feel that I am finally able to accept the memories of what happened and recover from it" She concludes, "Along the way, I turned from the victim I was to the survivor I am today. I look forward to sharing how that miracle happened for me."

Tonight's special guest is Nicolette Winn from San Angelo, Texas, a survivor, activist and author of "One." She says she's, ".. applying the principles of Industrial-Organizational Psychology to my role as Founder of "No Longer Silenced Movement" to pair teen and young adult survivors of child abuse with positive, concise resources so that they can succeed in life after abuse." She goes on, "Teen and young adult survivors of child abuse often don't have resources after leaving foster care or abusive homes. I wrote a book to reach out to them and started a program." NAASCA agrees there are not enough services provided to foster care kids, especially those needed in the particularly difficult time of transitioning out of protective serves and emerging into adult life. The quote from Jordan Shaw that accompany's the book's Amazon page reads, ""All it takes to start a raging inferno is a spark and only a step to start a life changing journey. This book tells the story of a girl with the will of a titan as she journeys through abuse and transforms into a powerhouse of a young woman. It's a personal account of her journey that is a vehicle of inspiration for others to either relate to or use as a stepping stone to find help. Let this book inspire you to reach out and help those who may be too scared to make the first move. Be the spark, be the shove to get them walking and started on their journey out."

Tonight's special guest is Joel Moore from Denver, Colorado, child abuse survivor and activist writer / BLOGGER who says he'd like to redirect "the shame of CSA back to the perpetrators." Betrayed and sexually abused by the pastor of his church when he was a young adolescent, Joel buried the memories for decades. He struggled with addictions, and kept a part of himself walled off from everyone, even from Amy, whom he met at bible college and married when he was 24. Their bond was strong, yet their relationship was severely tested by his addictive behavior, moodiness and the secrets that Joel kept from both Amy and himself. When their children came along, Joel became a full-time parent, but the simmering secret he hid from himself fostered a chronic anger that brought their marriage to the brink. In desperation, Joel committed himself to reading the Gospel of John, every day, from start to finish, for one month. “That changed my life. I was seeing the opposite of my life. Love, not hate.” His openness to what lies within finally unsealed the long-buried memories of the abuse. He began writing in his journal (“my therapist”), a practice that continues to the present. He started his own web site (PerpetuallyHealing.com). Through writing and counseling, Joel is on the mend, and he and Amy are closer than ever. Tonight Joel wants to spend some talking about the aftermath of CSA, his addictions, antisocial behavior and moodiness. He also wants to address the healing process, coping with the emotions of abuse and betrayal for the first time, triggers, and feelings of rage and depression.
Pope says about two percent of priests are pedophiles:
"Many of my collaborators who fight with me (against paedophilia) reassure me with reliable statistics that say that the level of paedophilia in the Church is at about two percent,"Francis was quoted as saying.
"This data should hearten me but I have to tell you that it does not hearten me at all. In fact, I think that it is very grave," he was quoted as saying.
The pope was quoted as saying that, while most paedophilia took place in family situations, "even we have this leprosy in our house".
