In order to enter the Kingdom of Heaven, Jesus says we must be Baptized. In order to be a true church, Jesus commissioned us to make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Jesus, Himself, was Baptized. What is Baptism and why is it so important? Can you baptize someone with soda? Why does Paul say Baptism represents our death on the cross with Christ? Does Baptism get you into heaven or is it just a symbol that you accept Jesus as your personal savior?

The Old Testament sings of the coming Baptism that will save us and mark our entry into heaven. Jesus says that, in order to be saved, we must be born again of "water and spirit" (John 3). In Genesis 1:1, we see that the universe was created by water and spirit, and so are we. We become a new creature, a soul reborn, Eternal Life re-enters us. We are restored to Eden once again.

But how, why, and what does it do? Join Kristina Rake, MA, theologian, author, award-winning preacher and lecturer for a walk through the 4 aspects of this great sacrament: Ritual, Theology, Biblical Roots, and Spiritual Reality (its effect on the soul).

If your evangelical family and friends have ever asked if you're born again or "saved", you want to hear this episode so you can answer them by saying, "Yes. I'm born again the way the Bible says I must be. The way Christ told us to."
