Jesus commands us to forgive those who hurt us, to love our enemies, to let people strike us twice if they hit us once-all so that we can be Holy as God is Holy.

But how does letting people hurt you make you holy? How can you love someone who has caused you unbearable pain? How can Christ expect you to forgive people when they have destroyed your ability to love? How? How? HOW?!

In this important and inspiring episode, award-winning preacher, lecturer, and theologian, Bishop Kristina Rake, explains how it is not only possible, but self-serving, to forgive your enemies. She explains what forgiveness is and what it isn't, so you'll understand how you can love someone without exactly liking them, too. The key is to understand what God means by forgiveness--which is completely different from everything you've been taught about the concept.
