It's the Second Sunday in Advent and our first anniversary broadcasting our worship services and programs! We welcome you to the new liturgical year and our new year bringing you the programs you want to hear.

First, the Bishop's Bible. Bishop Rake will explain the Sunday Gospel in terms of bible scholarship. This week: The Dead Sea Scrolls and John the Baptist. Learn why scholars believe Jesus and John the Baptist were part of the Essenes, a Jewish community that was revered in the time of Jesus and who wrote the Dead Sea Scrolls.

Then, in her sermon entitled, "The Meek and the Vicious," during our worship and meditation, award-winning preacher, lecturer, author, and theologian, the Rev. Bishop Kristina Rake, will preach about modern society's misguided notions of strength and weakness. Why are we so obssessed with people who are extraverts? Why does society believe that, in order to be strong, you have to be obnoxious? Women are taught that strength is masculinity and men are taught that sensitivity is weakness. What does GOD teach and how can you be spiritually strong by being spiritually weak?

Hymns, prayer, and guided meditation punctuate Bishop's sermon and help bring you the type of worship you need to get you through the difficult week.

Our expenses are few, but important. We ask our listeners to consider sending us $1.00 a month. No, really, that's it. Here's how:
