The vital role fathers play in the development and well being of their children is certainly something to celebrate.
Each year, we present one distinguished award to one outstanding father in recognition of their achievements and contribution to family and community life.
Our Father of the Year 2011 award winner is film producer, screenwriter, director and founder/chairman of Lucasfilm Ltd and single father George Lucas. His first child is Amanda he adopted in 1981. George then adopted two more children: Katie, born in 1988, and Jett, born in 1993. All three of his children have appeared in the three Star Wars prequels. We are simply honored to honor George this year. Join us for an outstanding and inspirational night.
