An openly gay Eagle Scott said he has been axed by the The Boy Scouts of America, one of the nation’s largest and most prominent values-based youth development organizations. Brian Peffly believes it's because of his sexual orientation. He reportedly got a call and a letter from Boy Scouts of America revoking his membership. Boy Scouts of America ended its ban on gay youth last year, but continues to forbid adult leaders who are "open or avowed homosexuals or who engage in behavior that would become a distraction to the mission of the BSA." What’s your take? Should a person’s sexual orientation prohibit their participation in the Boys Scouts and other youth organizations?
