Go behind the scenes of ‘Days of our Lives’ with executive producer Ken Corday!

“Like sands through the hourglass, so are the days of our lives.”

Those words have greeted viewers of the Emmy-award winning soap opera Days of our Lives for nearly 45 years. What many fans of the show do not realize is that the soap opera began as one family’s dream and continues its legacy today through youngest son and executive producer Ken Corday.

The Days of our Lives: The Untold Story of One Family’s Dream and the True History of Days of our Lives by Ken Corday is a behind-the-scenes look at the triumphs and tragedies of the show and its founding family.

Corday provides a never-before-seen glimpse into the creation of one of the most beloved and enduring soap operas, his family’s personal struggles including death and mental illness, the constant threat of cancellation, his own coming-of-age as executive producer of the show, and insight into the actors and storylines portrayed on the show.

For the first time, fans will discover the true stories that drive the fictional ones they love on TV in The Days of our Lives.

Corday was only a teenager when his parents, Ted and Betty Corday, first created NBC’s daytime drama Days of our Lives in 1965. A year after the show’s inception Ted passed away and it was up to Betty to carry on the show. Ken became his mother’s support system as she taught him everything she could.
