T. Boone Pickens has created a following called the Pickens Army, and the members of the Pickens Plan aren't surprised when they hear leaders, such as New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, making a case for what the Pickens Plan represents and talking about the need for Energy Independence at the “Meet the Press Roundtable,” on December 27, last year.
Mayor Bloomberg was echoing what T. Boone Pickens has been saying for the past 18 months: "We are funding both sides of this war and we are transferring our wealth to people who don’t like us very much." This particular discussion was in the context of the failed attack on one of our airliners on Christmas day.
The Pickens Army is once again fired up about the next charge in petitioning Congress to pass the Natural Gas legislation and T. Boone Pickens says he is not about to give up the fight.
"I told you I wouldn’t leave until the job was done, and I meant it. Getting America the energy plan it needs and deserves has been the principal focus of my Pickens Plan, and the Christmas Day airline bombing attempt only increased my determination.
