Well, maybe not ALL about Black History Month, but as much as we can cover in one episode.

February is Black History Month, which was established to recognize and celebrate the accomplishments of African-Americans throughout US history.

But there's more to it than that. History is more than just what we read in a book.

Why do we observe Black History Month? What is the Black Experience? By learning and understanding our history - the good and the ugly - can we achieve true equality for all Americans of all colors?

Join us Tuesday night with special guest, East Orange, NJ's Sharonda Allen, a mentor and teacher of African American studies, who will discuss her experiences teaching Black History, why it is important, her lessons, her students, and some important topics including important African American historical figures, the legacy of slavery and Jim Crow, and reparations.

Please listen and call 347-850-8445 for an engaging and educational conversation.
