In honor of Veteran's Day, we have a special interview with retired Army Captain, Entrepreneur, Comedian and mother Isaura Ramirez.  It's an unlikely post-military career, but Isaura Ramirez keeps you laughing all the while staying focused on bringing arts to Veterans as way to build communities, promote expression and facilitate learning through her work with ASAP. As a Latina combat veteran, she draws from her unique experiences growing up in Puerto Rico, serving in the military, and being the token minority among her white friends. Ramirez is a retired Army Captain, and a graduate of the first Armed Services Arts Partnership (ASAP) Comedy Bootcamp for veterans. She has performed for the Comedy Club of Williamsburg and the College of William & Mary, and her worked has been featured on NPR's With Good Reason, Stars and Stripes and the Daily Press.

Tune into our interview to hear her story, her focus on Veteran's non-profit work and how she juggles it all.  We will also bring you our highlights of women who made the headlines this week.  Tune into our newest and special show honoring our Veteran's on Power Lunch Radio, Friday's at 12pm EST!
