Pain medication, anti-inflammatories, anti-depressants, anti-convulsants, muscle relaxants, chiropractic care, most physical therapy, acupuncture, massage, radiofrequency ablasions, rhizotomies and more are the normal types of treatments people receive to address their symptoms. Look at all of these and note what all of them have in common. Everyone of these are designed to address a symptom. Not one of them addresses a cause. By cause, I am inferring that a tissue has to be named as the one eliciting the symptoms and therefore a treatment or procedure must be performed to alter that tissue. For instance, if muscle is the cause, then only targeted strength training is in a position to alter the muscle to prevent it from straining and eliciting symptoms. If it is a structural deficit, then only surgery can alter the structure and correct the deficit. All of the procedures and medications described above are designed to alter no tissue. They are only designed to try to mask a symptom. You will never resolve the cause of the symptom this way and therefore it cannot be suprising that taken this route sustains the symptoms forever. On this episode we will get into the Yass method of diagnosing so the right tissue is identified and therefore the right treatment provided to end the distress of the tissue eliciting the symptoms so the symptoms no longer need to be elicited. Without this understanding you are just as well off getting no  treatment as getting treatment.
