Join us this week as we welcome Adult Contemporary music singer songwriter, Em Rossi. Hailing from the bay area in California, Em began recording in the studio at age 14. Cutting an album in high school called for surreal levels of focus — Em’s particular mix of self-containment, constancy, discipline, expression, fun and focus. 17 year old singer/songwriter Em Rossi, displays a soul-based sound and story-telling ability extraordinary in one so young. Em’s jazzy, haunting vocals make listeners stop and feel. Deep and soulful, her debut album coming soon is a stunningly complex and sophisticated first release. Em weaves a unique blend of retro soul with Coldplay pop. Her compelling sound is equal parts Adele, Fiona Apple, and The Fray. Fearless chords of Motown, blues, and jazz resonate on this album, enriched with a fusion of live horns and strings. Em's new single “Madness” is getting some radio airplay and is featured on the American Airlines and United Airlines inflight show. Her new track was produced by Jim McGorman (Avril Lavigne, Michelle Branch, Shakira) and uniquely blends alternative, lounge, & jazz as well as a hooky horn line that reminisces Cake "Never There". We will talk to Em about her upcoming schedule, get a behind the scenes look at her music, feature her latest songs, and ask her to share her message for the troops. Please be sure to visit Em Rossi at http://emrossi.com/ and spread the word. Fans are welcome to call in and speak live with Em during the show (718) 766-4193.
