40 DFL Birminham is a weekly blogtalkradio show where we highlight the weeks pro life activities through the 40 Days for Life campaign. 40 Days for Life is an international event that takes a determined, peaceful approach to showing local communities the consequences of abortion in their own neighborhoods. It is a peaceful prayer vigil that puts into action a desire to cooperate with God in the carrying out of His plan for the end of abortion in America. The 40-day spring campaign starts February 17 and continues through March 28. It tracks Biblical history, where God used 40-day periods to transform individuals, communities ... and the entire world. From Noah in the flood to Moses on the mountain to the disciples after Christ's resurrection, it is clear that God sees the transformative value of His people accepting and meeting a 40-day challenge. 40 Days for Life is designed to be a peaceful vigil where individuals pray for the end of abortion. We are not standing as protestors but as ministers of life. We frequently are given opportunity to counsel with women and men who are frequently scared, confused and misguided. 40 DFL utilizes the following activities: •Prayer and fasting •Constant, peaceful vigil •Community outreach
