Smokey West - Market Manager For Zipcar

Smokey joined the Zipcar team in 2012. In his role, he is responsible for setting the strategic direction and continued growth of the Miami-Dade region.  Prior to joining Zipcar, he spent 10 years in Manhattan while working in the fitness industry for companies like Equinox, David Barton, and LA Fitness.  After the winter of 2010, he knew it was time to move back to sunny Florida.  Smokshane attended The University of Florida in Gainesville, FL where he graduated with a BS in Business Administration.

Zipcar was initially founded in 2000 as a new category in urban transportation, designed to offer a convenient, flexible, affordable and sustainable solution for the occasional urban driver looking for an alternative to the high costs and hassles of owning a car in the city, something that was missing at the time. We built the brand with the mission of providing on demand access to “wheels when you want them” for our nearly one million members.
