Barbara Goldberg is CEO and co-founding partner of O’Connell & Goldberg, Inc., an independent, full-service public relations firm whose services include publicity and media relations, communications counsel and strategy, corporate and community relations, writing, special events, promotions, media training, crisis communications and theatrical production.  The agency, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, ranks among the top independent PR firms in the country.   

Barbara leads her staff in providing strategic counsel and results to clients representing a variety of industries, including real estate, health care, legal, travel and tourism, retail, food & beverage and major private and public companies.  She offers high-level counsel to the firms’ clientele, earning the company an enviable reputation for service among its peers and has built a roster of blue-chip clients, many of whom have been associated with the agency from its inception.  Barbara trains her clients in crisis management, as well as proactive and creative media strategies that help companies position themselves favorably among their targeted audiences.

A native of Miami (born in Mount Sinai Hospital on the beach!), Barbara is a graduate of the University of Miami's School of Communication and is a member of the university's prestigious Iron Arrow Society.   A true South Floridian, Barbara recently opened a second office in Manhattan in 2012, and enjoys the 'best of both worlds' - and has finally adjusted to that 6 a.m. Jet Blue flight from LaGuardia to FLL.
