Jolie Glassman, S. Florida Boxing Owner & Founder

Jolie Glassman, owner and operator of South Florida Boxing, is steadfast about making the people around her feel great about themselves. As “the owner, the motivator, the coach,” Glassman runs the most down-to-earth “Real Gym for Real People” in South Beach. She loves being able to impact people's lives with fitness!

Nominated for the national PFP Trainer of the Year Award, Glassman continually looks for ways to enhance the community with her fitness expertise, focusing particularly on kids. She launched the Lean Teens fitness program in 2011, offering afterschool boxing classes in a safe environment; formerly, she taught Language Arts to at-risk youth in the inner cities of Dade County, lockdown facilities, detention centers, and prisons. 

Born in L.A. and raised in S. FL, Glassman began working at gyms more than 20 years ago as an aerobics teacher and personal trainer. Receiving her Bachelors degree in education and Masters in Behavior Modification from FIU, she founded Real Gyms for Real People with her ex-husband in 1998, taking sole ownersip of S. FL Boxing South Beach in 2010. This family-style gym offers hundreds of classes per month, including boxing, muay thai, jiu-jitsu, MMA, boot camps, CrossFit and more; their motto is R.I.T.E Fitness – Routine is the Enemy.  “Workouts should be like sheet music...never the same and always different timings and tempos,” says Glassman.  A Certified Professional Life Coach, she founded growing company Revamp Your Life, Incorporated.
