Whirl With Merle

Visiting a cemetery conjures up tears and memories of relationships.  Not all cemeteries are devoted to negative emotions.  Maple Grove Cemetery in Queens has a group called Friends of Maple Grove where they have scheduled celebrations with some form of entertainment. 

Carl Ballentas, a New York City public school teacher, assists in the coordination of these celebrations.  Womens Histroy Month fill feature music and stories about some of the women composers that are buried.  He will also share information about this non-sectarian cemetery that is open for a simple time of personal peace even if you don't know who is there.
