This week we are delighted to have Dr. Tracy Freeman, MD, join us in our continuing discussion on Autism.

As a physician and mother of a recovering autistic child, Dr. Freeman has immersed herself into the world of Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and the interventions that alleviate its symptoms. When her own son improved immediately with dietary interventions, Dr. Freeman was swept into a world for which medical school did not fully prepare her. Her education continued into the realms of nutrition, allergy elimination, and detoxification among others. It became clear to her that ASD is not simply a psychological disorder, but a complex derangement of the gastrointestinal, immune, and neurological systems triggered by an increasingly toxic environment.

Dr. Freeman practices Integrative Medicine at the National Integrated Health Associates (NIHADC.com) located in Washington, DC.
