John Maroon and Mitchell Schmale talk with veteran news anchor Jamie Costello about broadcast TV trends and how the newsroom has evolved as he celebrates 30 years with Baltimore's ABC affiliate, WMAR-TV.
Jamie Costello wears Baltimore on his sleeve. Raised in Rosedale, Jamie joined WMAR-TV May 29, 1987. He co-anchors ABC2 News at 5,6 and 11.
He has reported on Baltimore's successes and falls. Jamie roots for the Ravens, Orioles and is a fan of making his town better. His "2 Good 2 Be True" segment is a perfect fit for bragging about good news. When not on the air he is in the community serving as an emcee for numerous organizations.
