Ain't The Good Fight Unless You Fight The Right Foe

Life has many challenges; should you feel you've not had that many, just keep waking up.  With all the challenges, we see many opponents we must conquer, and we exult with each triumph.

However, I wonder if we are defeating the real enemies?  Once we conquer one temptation, do we not often face another that uses a different method to attack the same weakness? 

Consequently, we fight, and win many fights, which are the same fights, over and over again.  How is that good and what did we win?

There is, of course a good fight, and there is also a good foe.  Until you take on the latter, you cannot have the former.
