ARSIN is a rap artist/song writer from West Philadelphia who is known for having a soulful, edgy, retroactive style of Hip Hop music. He describes his lyrical style as "A rapid fire flow with a contemporary and entertaining conscious direction”. He advocates positive change for individuals in urban communities and has a worldwide following known as the Fire Family. ARSIN's latest latest album, "WANT" is currently rated five stars on Google Play and ITunes.
Music videos from his album have been featured on BET, MTV and singles from his album have been in rotation on national mainstream radio.
He got the idea for his stage name during a cypher when the crowd began to scream “Fire” every time he performed. One day he looked up different synonyms for fire, and found words that reflected his lyrics like passion and intensity. He came up with the name Arson, which was later changed to ARSIN (Our-sin). His philosophy was that “our – sin”, the idea of right and wrong affects our values in society in terms of classism, racism, and political & religious ideologies. He uses his music to reflect his experiences with those issues.
During an interview, Hip Hop pioneer Kwame stated “I do alright, but ARSIN tears the stage down when he performs”. “My goal is to push the limits of contemporary music and contribute a unique sound to the culture of Hip Hop”
