Dr. Davidds will discuss and analysis the following three concepts that have been applied and offer them as recommendations to be successful in the highly competitive and ever changing 21st Century environment.

1. According to a 2013 research study of Latina professionals sponsored by the Latina Leadership Academy, nearly half of Latina professionals – including mid- and senior managers and executives – are considering leaving their current employers.  What is prompting these Latinas to want to leave?  Where are they going?

2. Many first- and second-generation Latinas have grown up as bicultural Americanas; as a result, they provide unique resources, talents and perspectives to their employers. But their bicultural mental framework can clash with predominant cultural expectations about advancement and assessing effectiveness.  What can be done about this?

3. What recommendations can you offer corporations to recruit and retain Latinas with leadership potential?
