From a tender age we learn how to connect with and love others. As babies most of us bond, first, with our mothers and fathers. From there, we extend our focus outward. We develop relationships with siblings, extended family members, and friends. As we mature into adulthood, our network and sense of connection reaches even further into social clubs (fraternities, sorority), the local community, and perhaps even national or global organizations. With so much attention focused outside of ourselves, it can be a challenge to develop a deep connection and love of ourselves.
Every human being yearns to love and be loved. While there is nothing wrong with developing relationships with others, the greatest love we can experience is a profound connection to ourselves. Learning to love yourself may sound like a simple thing to do, but it's not necessarily easy. In fact, many people struggle with how to overcome self-doubt, insecurity, judgment, and fear. Join us for an engaging discussion on how to experience the greatest love of all: Self-love!
