Lately, we’ve heard a lot from mainstream media about the health, emotional, and mental benefits of practicing gratitude. Spiritual and religious leaders including the Dalia Lama and countless others have written books on gratefulness.  Actors, bloggers, and even talk show hosts—including the queen herself---Oprah Winfrey have advocated for a consistent and robust gratitude practice.

It’s important now, more than ever, to focus on our many blessings. We live in a hectic and oftentimes chaotic world.  Stressors are all around us.  Pressure to perform at work and at home, the desire to achieve and be successful, and the never-ending quest for more can easily have us feeling a sense of lack…like what we’re doing is never enough.

Instead of focusing on what’s missing, gratitude requires that we focus on the abundance that is already present in our lives. Being grateful allows us to take account of everything we are thankful for, to count our blessings, notice the little pleasures, and acknowledge everything-even the small things-that bring joy and purpose to our lives.

During today’s show we’re going to discuss ways of practicing gratitude that can help you feel more connected to yourself and what’s wonderful in your world—from the tiniest of things to the grandest of our blessings.  Join us for this lively discussion show.
