Most of us only know a very limited part of who we are. We call this part of the self the personality and it's based on the ego.  The ego is one of three theoretical constructs (e.g., Id, Ego, and Super-ego) that make up the psyche.  Essentially, the ego represents the personality you created and have evolved over your lifetime.  It represents the part of yourself you are most consciously aware of.  For example, your personality represents various traits and characteristics you might identify with including, but not limited to, your likes and dislikes, whether you relate to being introverted or extroverted, and how you identify yourself in the world (e.g., mother, father, professional, optimist, pessimist, etc).

Much of the time your ego is running the show of your life.  However, as much as you might know yourself, the ego is a very limited aspect of who you really are.  Today, we're going to cover part one of a two part series concerning the question, Who Am Iby exploring what it means to be conscious of the personality you've created. Consider these questions:

1.   How Do I Define Myself?

2.  How Might I Interact with the various aspects of myself?:  Mind, Body, Spirit, Sexuality, and Emotions.

3. How can I develop a deeper connection with myself?
