Author of Integrity in a Box of Chocolates, Joan Koonce is a Professor and Financial Planning Specialist at the University of Georgia.

Joan teaches financial planning principles to others through seminars, trainings and published research and educational materials. She received her Bachelor’s degree from North Carolina Central University, and her Master’s and Ph.D. degrees from The Ohio State University. She currently lives in Athens, Georgia. She has one son, Carlus Koonce. Her desire is to encourage, motivate and inspire others to overcome any obstacles they face and reach their full potential in life.
