David Osorio was born in Boston, MA. His parents are from Colombia, and because of his mother’s career with Dole Fresh Fruit, he grew up in many countries from Costa Rica to the Philippines.

David studied Creative Writing with a Film minor at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA. He went on to get his Master’s degree in Film at Florida State University, where he first met Kieran Shea, his current writing partner.

After graduating, he co-wrote a horror screenplay titled SYMBIOSIS, which was sold to Miramax/Dimension. David later optioned another horror script called KAKUY to Cecil Chambers of Triumphant Pictures, also with Miramax/Dimension.

Wanting to do something other than horror, he partnered up with Kieran. Their first script, a dark comedy called THE OUTCAST, was the Grand Prize winner of the American Screenwriting Competition in 2004. They’ve written many screenplays since.

Kieran Shea is a California native who’s lived on both coasts, in addition to having spent six years in Paraguay. Before film, he started off in genetics. After three years of science and a prestigious internship at the Walter Reed Army Medical Hospital in Washington, D.C., Kieran made a U-turn toward filmmaking.

This took him to the Film School at Florida State University. The thesis film, THE THINGS WE DO FOR LOVE, which he produced and edited, has been screened at various film festivals and received several awards, including Best Comedy at the Flicker Film Festival.

Kieran then moved to Los Angeles, where he dove into production. He worked as a professional assistant director on many independent features. He then met up with former FSU classmate, David Osorio, and began writing full time. BORDERLINE is their latest and most personal endeavor.
