Shriekfest Radio! Denise Gossett interviews director Jose Prendes!

Jose discovered a love of movies early on after tragic circumstances made him want to escape from the real world. Since the age of five Jose had not felt comfortable in the real world, preferring fiction to reality, and leaving all the messy real life stuff for his lovely wife Jessica to deal with. He has been making films and writing since 2000, when he published his first novel, THE HARBINGER and made his first film, the sci-fi spoof THE MONSTER MAN. Since then, he has gone on to make a name for himself in the genre world including writing and directing the Asylum’s best-reviewed horror film, THE HAUNTING OF WHALEY HOUSE and writing the best-selling novels, SHARCANO, about sharks from hell threatening the apocalypse, and ELEMENTARY, MY DEAR WATSON, a school-aged look at Sherlock Holmes and John Watson’s early adventures together. His most recent film, THE DIVINE TRAGEDIES, is playing at festivals, and he is currently busy on a myriad of projects. "The Divine Tragedies"  was a 2015 Shriekfest Official Selection!
