Business events are used for many purposes, including prospective client attraction, training, client appreciation, holiday parties, team building, seminars, product launches, rebranding, meetings, vendor entertainment, and more. My next guest, Janice Boes, owner of Premier Event Services and the award winning venue Pierpont Place in Salt Lake City, will help you understand some of the key things necessary to run a good event.

Corporate events must meet objectives seamlessly. Janice offers some insight into what to consider before you begin the planning process--and when to get help from professionals.

Janice Boes moved to Utah in 1989 to pursue Business and PR at the University of Utah. In 2001, she founded Premier Event Services, with a vision of future expansion. Subsequently, in 2006 she acquired the venue Pierpont Place, known as "Salt Lake's Premier Event Center" which is an truly unique urban "chic", flexible, full service venue in the heart of downtown Salt Lake.

Her companies offer a wide variety of event and wedding services, and work on events in any location, from outdoor parks to home-hosted parties.

Janice is a true giver, and Pierpont Place sponsors one non-profit event each month, and assists with more. She is also involved in professional and business organizations, currently serving as chair of the President's Ambassadors of hte Salt Lake Chamber, and also the President of the Salt Lake City chpater of the National Association of Women Business Owners.

In 2012 she was named as one of "30 Women To Watch" by Utah Business magazine, and given the "Brides Choice" award by Wedding Wire. This year, PIerpont Place has won City Weekly's "Best Gathering Place" award, and Utah Business named it the Best Venue for Corporate Parties and events.
