Divine Providence

"Providence" is God's guidance of and care for us. The word comes from a Latin word that means "foresight". Providence is God seeing ahead, knowing our needs, and preparing our way. It is what we are referring to when we are referring to when we speak of how events "just happened" to work out for our good. What, from our perspective was a fortunate occurence, was really God's providential care.

The Book of Esther shows a time when God's people must have felt very far from God's care. Yet God was there all the time, protecting His people.
