Faith In Desperate Situations

In any week, we hear about people in desperate situations. When a child is ill, a spouse is disabled, a marriage is failing, or a job is lost, we may feel helpless in the face of such overwhelming trials. But we need not feel hopeless. God's power can be experienced in difficult situations. What is the difference between hopelessness and hopefulness? The difference is found in whether we abandon our reliance on ourselves and begin to trust in God. Difficult times can be for our benefit if we stop trying to deal with the situation by ourselves and learn to trust God.
