The Mystery of the Church

The word "mystery" brings to mind stories in which the reader has to put together clues to solve some murder or other crime. But a mystery is also a spiritual truth that one can know only by revelation and cannot fully understand. Through this study we will discover that both aspects of that definition apply in some degree to the mystery Paul wrote of in Ephesians. God's great plan to redeem all humankind has been in place from the beginning, but full revelation of that plan was not made until the New Covenant was established through Christ's death and resurrection. We rejoice in the truth that God's great plan of salvation is for all humankind.
