As America grapples with changing administrations and broad rejection of Obama’s highly liberal and unfettered immigration policy, LC clings to the past like a barnacle to the hull of the Titanic. The members of the Las Cruces Public Schools Board of Education voted on Tuesday to protect immigrants facing deportation under a Donald Trump presidency.

Quixotic is a term meaning foolishly impractical especially in the pursuit of ideals; especially : marked by rash lofty romantic ideas or extravagantly chivalrous action. This is Las Cruces & Dona Ana County. A place where unrealistic, self-aggrandizing and ultimately self-defeating ideas come to live and die. Meanwhile the Mesilla Valley suffers under the pitiless direction of progressives and their failed far-left policies.

It is a shame that with such a wonderful location, favorable climate, propitious timing and wealth of opportunities that this area must be blighted by leadership that lacks historical knowledge, common sense, or insights into the rule of law and economics. Will we be punished for our foolish obdurate resistance? Let us pray for relief.
