ON THE BORDER: In the last month of the campaign Trump supporters are worrying if he can rise to the occasion and overcome the natural momentum of former First Lady Hillary. Clinton’s own backers secret wonder if she can muster the strength of will and health to see it through?
Yet a much larger issue looms on the horizon. WHO will we become? Through this election what does it say about who we are as Americans? What values will we espouse? How do we defines ourselves? Will we muster the strength of character and conviction to resist the demons in our midst and return to some semblance of our former selves?
The dangers that bedevil our times are not simply materialism, loss of faith, collapse of religion and indifference towards our fellow man -- although these are truly perilous. They can be neatly summarized by the goal of Globalism -- to create a world empire of one people, without nationality, ID, ownership, rights, a Constitution or a state. Is this is the one-world tyranny foretold by the Christian Apostles and Jewish Prophets of old? Or is it merely the battle over the human race fought between the oldschool and religious citizens versus the awful philosophers and humanist agnostics and atheists over the fate of freedom for the human race? Only God & the future know...
