BREAKING THE TRUMP COVENANT: WHY IS THE GOP IGNORING ITS NON-COMPETITION AGREEMENT IT ASKED THE DONALD TO SIGN?
In the gathering gloom descending over the GOP, which just happens to coincide with the advent of Donald Trump as party presidential nominee, we now see the outline of the Anti-Trump plans.
First, deny that Donald has any right to the nomination, despite how it was won. Second, declare that having a Trump nomination or presidency is worse than the party not existing for reasons a, b & c. Third, execute a coup at the state level by way of CA, PA, NY, etc. OR deliver a brokered convention where the Donald’s standing is denied. Then bring in another candidate.
In other words, we have to ask -- IS THE PARTY NUTZ?!!! First, feel free to insult the duly elected nominee -- certainly that’s better than trying to work with him. Second, repeatedly insult him, his methods, background and motives. Third, infuriate the grassroots masses who you have just confirmed you care nothing about their opinion.
AND JUST SO WE CAN BE CLEAR -- THE GOP STANDS FOR THE IDEA THAT IT’S BETTER TO COMMIT NATIONAL SUICIDE THAN ALLOW A NON-TRADITIONAL CANDIDATE.
Oh, and by the way, have I introduced our play’s understudy -- JUDAS RUBIO?
