A THUMBSUCKING GENERATION WHICH EXPECTS EVERYTHING GIVEN TO THEM? The Generation that knew not Joseph...are they really screwed up that bad? The lack of gratitude, manners or any sense of community has many older folks fuming when dealing with Millennials. How did they get this way?
IN America’s past, the previous generations went through many hardships in which to build this nation. At times we barely made it. Further, there was a distinct religious sentiment which informed our ideas and attitudes. Not only is all this gone but now many folk associate only one thing with Millennials...ENTITLEMENT.
We’ve all had the experience of helping others or simply being courteous to others -- especially in this town -- and had it utterly ignored. But where does this sense of YOU OW ME COME FROM? Obviously, somewhere along the line our instructions, education and preparations for this generation have failed us. And now we ALL have to experience the crazy, anti-intuitive, rude and presumptuous experience.
What can be done? Some will call this a lost generation. Others will state that only a revival can cure them. The more astute observers will point out its a social disease which has spread out like a toxic pool into all generations. But clearly it has affected our politics.
What will results be? Stay tuned, Sportsfans...
