Have Roles Reversed in Relationships? (Watered Down Men. Hard Women.)

A question has come up about dating and relationships.  "Has society changed the roles to how people act in relationships?  How come men do not want to work?  They depend on the woman to make the money while the guy stays home and plays video games all day.  Women who support the men by treating them like Kings when they did not earn the throne!"  This is a direct question from a listener.  Why are women expecting this from men?
