A computational neuroscientist with a doctorate from Boston University, Ogas, together with fellow researcher Sai Gaddam, became fascinated by the nature of human desire. When they realized the severe limitations of traditional survey-based psychological research, they turned to a new, vastly larger and arguably more accurate source of data about human sexual tastes - the Internet. The result is A Billion Wicked Thoughts, hailed as a breakthrough work, a Kinsey Report for the 21st century.

“Alfred Kinsey only scratched the surface. Interviewing a mere 18,000 horny humans?" scoffed  The Washington Post reviewer. "Please . . . Drs. Ogas and Gaddam [offer] hot new scientific findings,”  Writing about their often blush-worthy topics with both clinical detachment and humor, the authors examine differences between what men and women search for when seeking titillation online. Going beyond the straight and narrow, they look at gay men and lesbian desires, and stumble into the hidden universe of fan fiction and slash, something Adam's fans know about and have even dabbled in! Why do some fans become so invested in Adam's love life, weaving elaborate romantic and often XXX-rated fantasies around them?

Ogi Ogas will share his findings and hypotheses, along with some first-hand experiences with cyber bullying. We promise a lively, entertaining and provocative discussion relating Dr. Ogas's findings with what we have observed about the Adam Lambert fandom.
