MWT (MUT) -

      Mwt is the Great Mother; She is considered to be great maternal power
who conceived and gave birth to everything. Mut is compliment of Amen in the Triad of Wast. She is mother of Khensu the Moon child.

    In Khemet art she is depicted as a woman who wears a vulture headddress and she holds the ankh and papyrus scepter called uadj (A Mdw Ntchr word meaning green papyrus or the color green) symbolizing growth and expansion, sometimes she is represented as a Vulture. The Vulture was regarded sacred throughout Kemet and symbolizes the two-fold nature of Mut. She was the great mother one side the devourer of the dead so that new seeds could come forth. Mwt became identified with every Ntchrt that expressed the maternal principle, including Nut, Ast, Het-Hert, Apet, Sekmet, and Bast. She even became the "Eye of Ra" as the Triad in Wast became stronger.
