Every day we wake up with a choice: Do we let our natural self-centeredness take over and lead us towards doubts and fears or do we choose to focus on love, wisdom, and courage, which leads to extraordinary experiences and self-actualization? Human Nature is to be pre-occupied with ourselves, which brings the restricted views of our own eyes, preconceptions and experiences. This leads to constant awareness of our failures and limits, blocking the view of possibilities, stunting our growth. I call this self-centeredness (not to be confused with the morality of selfishness). The above, which is an excerpt from Jim Murphy's "Life Diamond," I had also used as my opening comments for the December 21st show in which Jim joined us to talk about the basis for our fears and the choices we both consciously and sub-consciously make that keeps us bound in a relentless cycle of self-centered scrutiny against a standard that is beyond our control. As is often the case when we are discussing interesting and thought-provoking subject matter, we ran out of time far too quickly and did not have the opportunity to delve deeper into this important topic. I am happy to say that joining us today on the PI Window on Business to pick up the conversation where we left off is performance enhancement coach and the author of "Inner Excellence" Jim Murphy. Jim's breakout and breakthrough book is empowering people to get to their point of "Extraordinary Performance and Passionate Living," and this is what we hope to help you to start doing today.
