July 9, 2013 Richard Nemet of Metar Weather

Tonight we have with us Rich Nemet of Metar Weather.  Rich has extensive experience as an entrepreneur and has been founding and growing companies for more than 18 years.  He is well versed in many different industries including the insurance and alternative investment sectors.

Before founding Metar Weather in 2011, Richard founded The Life Settlement Company of America, an innovative brokerage firm selling life insurance policies in the secondary market.  That company processed more than $3 billion dollars’ worth of secondary life insurance with transaction levels exceeding $1 billion.  While here, Richard was responsible for the daily operations, strategic direction and sales.

Prior to that, he established a venture backed software company that provided fully integrated communication solutions to organizations with large memberships.  He began his career at Smith Barney but left at the young age of 24 to build his own brokerage firm.  He spent the next 5 years providing investment banking services for early stage companies.  Raising more than $100 million for 10 different companies, Richard created hundreds of jobs and helped others realize their goal of becoming an entrepreneur.
