The worst nightmare – and the worst wound – for any parent is the loss of a child. Such a loss cuts to the core of one’s spirit and soul.  But that painful experience sometimes opens our senses to mere inklings as well as clear indicators that there is an energy of life that survives mortal death.  Such was Donna Mebane's experience.

Then, without warning or explanation, Donna's daughter Emma died at age 19.  Left with unanswered questions, the family was devastated.  And then, while still digesting their loss, Donna and her family began to sense Emma's presence, to see signs she was still with them, and they came to know , without a doubt, that Emma lived on.

Donna fictionalized her experiences with Emma in Tomorrow Comes, the first in a three-book series that imagines Emma's life on that other plane while chronicling Donna's evolution from hope to knowing.  And while the book may be a fiction, Donna's experiences, and those of her family, are very real.
