Help Save the Next Girl is a national non-profit organization founded in 2011 in honor of Morgan Dana Harrington, daughter of Gil and Dan Harrington. In 2009 Morgan was a 20-year-old Virginia Tech student who was abducted and murdered. The organizations goal is to sensitize young women and girls to predatory danger.
The foundation fosters mutual respect and camaraderie with young men, and is committed to be an active, imaginative presence on campuses and in clubs and violence prevention forums across the country. It also continually develops vital relationships with media and law enforcement, which enhances their ability to quickly disseminate urgent information, such as about a missing person. In addition, they provide outreach support to victims' families and actively participate in endorsing legislation which augments safety practices in our communities.
